The Office of Alumni Affairs is pleased to provide the Indianapolis area alumni with the opportunity to hear a presentation by Special Agent Jim Watson of the Federal Bureau of Investigation on cyber crime.  The presentation will be on current cyber crime threats, trends, prevention and security measures one can take.

Software Engineering Professionals (SEP) has graciously agreed to host the presentation at their office on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 5:30 p.m.

More information on Special Agent Jim Watson, Associate Division Counsel:

Prior to joining the FBI in 2000, ADC Watson practiced as an attorney in Illinois and Missouri.  During his 14 year Bureau career, ADC Watson has worked cyber matters, both criminal and national security, in Jacksonville, Springfield, FBI Headquarters, and Indianapolis.  At FBI Headquarters, as a member of the Cyber National Security Section, ADC Watson was detailed to the National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force with other government and military components who had jurisdiction in national security cyber matters.  At NCIJTF, he headed up a Threat Focus Cell targeting Cyber Terrorists.  Upon arrival in Indianapolis, he was a Supervisory Special Agent overseeing the Criminal Cyber squad, which covered the exploitation of children online, computer intrusions, internet fraud and intellectual property rights infringement.  Currently Watson is the Associate Division Counsel for the Indianapolis Field Office of the FBI.

ADC Watson has a Bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Illinois-Champaign, a Juris Doctorate from Washington University-St. Louis.
